Ichographs MdelP (Madonna del Prato) is a work that examines the relationship between color and sound frequencies. He divides Rafael's famous painting into ten thousand cubic pieces and assigns a sound frequency to each piece according to its color.
Combining visual content with interesting sound designs, Athenian artist Yiannis Kranidiotis focuses on the relationship between form and sound by transforming colors into sound frequencies in his video series called ichographs. In Rafael's visualization of the Madonna del Prato painting, he created a work that produces sounds at certain frequencies by analyzing colors. The work, which transforms each pixel of the painting into image and sound particles, allows you to navigate inside the painting using both of your senses. You can watch the video of the work below.

Unlike Ichograph works, where sound and color are directly matched, the connection between sound and visuality in MusIcons is established through the artist's subjective interpretation. The artist composes music inspired by the painting and assigns different moments of this music to the components of the painting.
Saying that he was inspired by cinemagraphs that add another dimension to photography without breaking the magic of still frames, Yiannis Kranidiotis seeks to create synesthetic experiences by adding sound worlds to paintings.
